Forensic Testing -  The Investigators now offers state-of-the-art forensic evidence testing services for use in conjunction with a civil or criminal litigation.  These highly specialized services may also be used by private individuals whose questions may only be answered by a specific kind of test.  The forensic lab that we use is a full service forensic lab which can test and evaluate everything from DNA to Bodily Fluids and Poisons.  The lab is fully certified and can testify to their findings in a court of law as expert witnesses.  Some of the specific testing services that we offer are as follows below:

  • Evaluation and testing of physical evidence related to the commission of an alleged crime.

  • Visual and microscopic examination of evidence including clothing, hair, fiber, debris, blood, etc.

  • Comparison of hair strands - evaluating consistent or non-consistent characteristics of a questioned known or unknown hair.

  • Identifying hair sample strands using DNA extraction comparison. (The follicle or root must be attached to both hair strand samples.)

  • Post-Mortem DNA and Cremains Analysis – Once though impossible, through the use of Nucleur DNA and Mini Filer DNA extraction, cremains (ashes) of a cremated individual may now be forensically examined for the presence of heavy metals, to include arsenic, mercury, lead and many others.

  • GSR- Gun Shot Residue - identification of firearms discharge.

  • Evaluation of Blood samples in order to determine if the sample is human or animal blood.

  • Identification of a spot alleged to be seminal fluid to include analysis for the presence of sperm cells.

  • Vaginal Fluid - Is the fluid deposit vaginal? (Samples being prepubescent, post-menopausal, or menstruating female may conceal vaginal fluid identity.)

  • Saliva Identification - Is the evidence suspected of being saliva?

  • Urine Identification - Sample suspected of being urine.

  • Fecal Identification - Sample suspected of being fecal matter or stool.

  • Blood typing – Samples used for testing may be either whole or from a blood stain.

  • Typing of non-blood stain - Determining ABO blood type from dried non-blood stains e.g. saliva, semen, vaginal fluid.

  • Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Kit Examination - Examination of blood and saliva samples, semen identification on vaginal, oral, or rectal swabs per case requirements. (Requires use of an approved sexual assault kit.)

  • Controlled Substances Evaluations

  • Anabolic and corticosteroids testing panel

  • Identification of unknown Powders or Liquids.

  • Identification of Poisons or Liquids added to Food or Beverages.
